My nephew Eric in his ROTC uniform

My nephew Eric joined the ROTC program this year in high school. This week he received an award at a school ceremony. Doesn't he look handsome?

An amazing thing happened to Eric when he joined ROTC and put on that uniform. He suddenly walked taller.....literally. He walks tall and straight and has a feeling of confidence in himself that he didn't have before. He is more respectful of others. He is getting better grades. He is growing up.

I love the fact that he is finding himself and gaining confidence in the man he will become. I am so proud of him!!

(Did I mention that he looks really good in his uniform?)
