Take Me Out To The Ballgame

Jeremy loves to play catcher

My sister Sharilyn and her husband Jose have four boys who are participating in baseball this summer. They are on two different teams so they have practices and games taking place nearly every day of the week. The boys love to play baseball and are all doing really well.

Sharilyn loves photography so Jose bought her a quality digital camera with attachable lenses and so forth. With it she is able to take some amazing action shots of the boys' games. Some of them have clouds of dust as their teammates slide into home plate. I was really surprised at the crispness of the pictures. She stands between home and first base but you can still see the outfielders in great detail. Isn't technology great?

Sharilyn literally takes hundreds of photos per game. Some don't turn out because the boys are always moving and their faces aren't always facing the right way. However, she still has a huge number of excellent photos. Some of the parents from the team wanted to have access to the photos so she created a blog or website for each team. She found that Shutterfly actually has a sports template that made this really easy. The template allows the coach to post practice and game information, who is bringing snacks, team standings and other pertinent information. As I said, isn't technology wonderful?

Sharilyn sent me some great shots of her boys in action. I thought I'd share them with you.
