Game On!

Heather LOVES art but isn't sure what to do with it after graduating from high school.  She found an art studio workshop at a local art college that teaches computer game design and thought that might be a fun career.  The workshop was three days long.  Day 3 was a half day and was mostly a parents' day.

Heather was quite excited that they used special laptops that flip down so they lie flat like a drawing board.  Students use a stylus and actually draw on the screens and then can flip them back to a vertical position. Very cool.  Too bad they are $1,000+ just for the monitor.

Olympic Diving Practice

Since I was taking pictures of the kids while we were at the pool, some of the kids decided to demonstrate their most amazing diving skills for the camera.  Below are the results:

Last week my friend Sandi and I took our kids to the city pool.  We were quite surprised to find that, besides our own group, there were less than two dozen other patrons.  We decided to return the next day and invited more friends to a "private" pool party.

Can you tell the boys were lifeguards at Scout Camp?  They sure make my girls look PALE!

We are so glad our friends could join us for two days of fun in the pool.

Summer is Here!

School is out. The weather is heating up after an unusually mild spring. And the new grass we planted has finally grown in enough that the girls could run through the sprinklers. I guess summer is really here!

Poor Emily had an extra week of school and missed out on the fun. But Heather and Megan had a blast!
