Spring Break in the Mountains

My parents recently moved to Lakeside, so we went up this weekend to visit.  My spring break was ending and my children's spring break was beginning.  It seemed like the perfect weekend to celebrate both spring breaks at the same time.

The weather had other plans.

Show Low Lake (behind my parent's house)

If you look closely, you can see Heather holding Emily's hair down.  This is why...

This was the first take.  Emily calls it her "Cousin It Impersonation."

We went to Snowflake to see the temple, too.  It is the 10th anniversary of the dedication this coming weekend.

The wind was blowing like crazy there, as well.

Megan switched sides, thinking her sisters would block the wind.  They didn't.

Megan requested this picture.  Can you see how her hair is flying?

Those are white blossoms on the tree.  I liked the look with the Angel Moroni in the background.

Megan found this cool bench up several flights of stairs behind the temple.  The spot overlooks the valley below.

Heather liked the view, as well.

Emily joined Grandpa and Grandma in returning to the car. Brrr!!

Megan loves Grandpa's homemade popcorn.  He made a bunch for everyone to eat while we watched a movie.

Darn!  He made too much.  He packed up the leftovers and sent it all home with Megan.

I may have posted this before, but I love it.  Some friends in my parents ward here embroirdered this for Grandpa.

We had a great time visiting Grandpa and Grandma and seeing their new town.
