When Life Gives You Lemons

Okay, so it was really Grandpa K who gave us lemons.  An entire box full of lemons!

We squeezed out the lemon juice and froze the lemon juice.  Now we can make homemade lemonade anytime we want.  Here's how we did it:

Wash the lemons and then cut them in half.

Squeeze the juice out of them using our handy-dandy lemon juicer.  Megan and Abby were happy to do the work.

Megan is such a ham sometimes!
(Usually anytime I pull out the camera.)

Abby and Heather love lemons.  Abby was VERY excited to help.

Jacob was happy, too, but didn't want his picture taken.  Guess what, Jake?  Gotcha!

We measured the fresh juice into freezer bags, 1 cup in each bag.

Naturally, we had to test our juice:
1 cup lemon juice
1 cup sugar
water the fill the jug

The girls thought it was yummy!

We made another jug and added strawberries.  Emily loved it!  Emily, Heather and Jacob refused to pose for pictures, but we decided it was a successful afternoon.  We made 31 cups of lemon juice.
