Faith in God

Once a year, our stake Primary leaders honor those children who earn the Faith in God award.  Each child and their parents are invited to a nice dinner and awards program.  The dinner was yummy: ham, funeral potatoes, green beans, salad, rolls, and hot fudge brownies.

This year, the children each received a framed artist's rendering of the future Phoenix Temple.  It looks so real that the kids were trying to figure out how someone took a picture of a temple that hasn't been built yet.

We had four children from our ward earn the award this year:  Megan, Eli, Abi, and Morgan.  Megan's best friend Abby from another ward also earned the award.  Before they received their framed picture, the Primary president shared some fun details about the personality and interests of each child.  It was great fun to hear about these faithful and accomplished children.

Abby's family has a tradition of going to Swensen's for ice cream on special occasions.  They invited me and Megan to join them.  Megan never turns down ice cream!   It was the perfect finish to a wonderful evening.
