Monday was Heather's first day of high school, but she spent a good portion of the day at freshman orientation. When she came home she wasn't sure she liked high school. It is six times larger than her K-8 school and I think she was feeling a bit lost.
Yesterday was her first full day of classes. She came home feeling a little more positive but still not quite committed to saying she enjoyed high school.
It was also her first day of early morning seminary. After hearing about her school day I asked about seminary. Her response was, "If I had to choose between a full day of high school or a full day of seminary, I would choose seminary."
I don't know what her seminary teacher did in that hour yesterday, but she bopped out of bed today and rushed out the door. Quite a feat for a girl who hates to get up in the morning! I am suddenly looking forward to this school year a whole lot more than I was last week.
