On the rearview mirror in my van, I have a digital thermostat. I often check to see how cold it is in the mornings when I drive Emily to seminary. And it has been pretty cold lately (for this area, at least!).
The other day as we pulled out of the driveway I looked up and saw the thermostat flashing, "ICE, ICE, ICE." Emily and I laughed. Once the van warmed up the thermostat gave us the correct temperature.
The next morning, it was even colder. It was later in the day when I took Heather and Megan to school, yet the thermostat on the rearview mirror was again flashing, "ICE, ICE, ICE."
Now we almost look forward to those cold mornings so we can enjoy the complaints of the digital thermostat.
