We dragged Megan (kicking and screaming) to her first high school varsity football game this week. We lost by 12 points, despite a 95-yard touchdown return by one of our players. Emily and Heather had a great time.
Megan fidgeted through much of the game, bored out of her mind. At one point she sighed and said, "I'd rather be at a rodeo."
I found this amusing since she went (kicking and screaming) to her first rodeo this past Fourth of July with her dad. That is the one and only rodeo she has ever seen. However, she did come home full of the exciting details of the rodeo. Since she has said she wants to date a cowboy it makes sense that the rodeo would be more satisfying for her.
The funniest part about all this is that Megan really, really wants to be a high school cheerleader, meaning she would be required to attend all the football games. We'll see how that plays out.
