The Simple Things In Life

Our hall bathtub had problems.  It wouldn't drain the water after the plug was released.  Although we have had a number of people look at it, no one could  figure out what the problem was.  So for well over a year we have all used the shower in the master bathroom.

A few weeks ago Megan asked if Santa could use his Christmas magic to fix a bathtub, or if he just made toys.  It was only then that I realized how much the girls missed taking a bath.

Megan's wish must have had wings, because last Saturday while the girls were with their dad two of Santa's elves came to the house and fixed the tub.  They even scrubbed it so the girls could bathe as soon as they got home.

It was a good thing, too.  Within five minutes of walking in the door, Megan was running water in the tub and had her bubble bath and towel ready.

Megan has taken two baths and each of the other girls have bathed once.  They have all commented on how much pleasure they got from soaking in the tub.  I much prefer a shower, but the girls have really enjoyed this Christmas blessing.  It just goes to show that the best things in life truly are the simple things.
