Teacher of the Year

Emily's high school English teacher was awarded the title of Teacher of the Year for the state!  How exciting is that? 

The article in the paper said she received $20,000; however, she explained to her students that she will only see about $10,000 after to taxes.  How sad!   She will also receive $17,000 in technology for her classroom, which is pretty cool.  Her new laptop has already arrived.

Emily loves Mrs. McAdams.  She tells me all the time that she has to prepare really well for class because "Mrs. McAdams expects SO much every time."  I am thankful for great teachers who push my children to do well.
