Emily started back to school yesterday. She is now a high school sophomore. In the next year she will learn to drive and be eligible to date. How in the world did she get that old?!?!
We had a discussion about her wearing more "girl clothes" this year. She understood that to be frills and lace and ribbons. I simply wanted some feminine colors, rather than the darker blacks, reds, and greys that she favored last year. I think this was a great compromise, don't you?
My little girl is growing up, which is bittersweet.
But I am so proud of the confident young lady she is becoming.
Heather is entering 8th grade this year. She has grown up so much in the last year. She wanted her picture to look like she was walking. She definitely has a creative side.
Heather and Megan started school today.
I love the fact that she is happy to go to school!
Megan loves to strike a pose. She was out of bed, dressed, packed her lunch, and combed her hair before 6:00am! Who are you and what have you done with my Megan?
(Actually, it was REALLY nice!)
Megan was also very excited to start school. She got the teacher she wanted and is ready for a great year.
They are all busily doing homework. The house is amazingly quiet! Ha Ha
