Being The Mom

I have a friend at church who has three little girls, ages 4, 2, and 6 months. They are the cutest little things. My girls love little children but our ward really doesn't have that many little ones so my girls don't have much chance to babysit. Therefore, when my friend mentioned that she needed a babysitter this week, I jumped to offer to help. My girls are on spring break and we could have a lot of fun with these three little girls. My three "little" girls were quite excited about the opportunity.

My girls were all WONDERFUL with these little visitors. They drew pictures on our white board, played in the backyard, played board games, blew bubbles in the backyard, read picture books, ate snacks, played outside, took turns playing with the baby, drew pictures on paper, watched a movie, played games on the computer, wiped noses, changed diapers, made bottles, and the playdough was coming out when Mom and Dad arrived to pick up the little girls. It was a busy 5 hours for everyone. When asked if she had fun, 4-year-old Breanna said, "TONS!" and asked if she could come back another day.

My girls did a great job babysitting but after the visitors left they all collapsed on the couch or floor in the living room. We had a great discussion about how much work a mom does for her children, especially when they are little. It was a great day and I am SO proud of all three of my girls. They are all going to be GREAT mothers!
