Emily and her friend Clarcy dressed as their favorite characters from the Percy Jackson and the Olympians book series. Clarcy dressed as Rachel Elizabeth Dare. She even wrote on her jeans in Greek! Way to go, Clarcy.
Emily dressed as Thalia, daugher of Zeus. Thalia is a bit of a goth-type person. Even her hair is black. Emily has dark blond hair with lighter highlights. It took three entire cans of black hair spray to cover the highlights....and even then some showed through.

Clarcy's brother, Jacob, dressed as Percy Jackson. Percy has a cool pen that turns into a sword. If he drops the pen, it ALWAYS returns to his pocket within a matter of minutes.

Emily's shirt In the books, Thalia wears a shirt that reads "DEATH TO BARBIE" and has a photo of Barbie with an arrow through her head. Naturally, shirts like that are not common in stores so we had to create our own. Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a decent full-length photo of Barbie online?!?!?
