These are my parents. They both retired in the last year but they have come out of retirement for the summer. They actually volunteered to hang out with my three daughters for the summer....all 11 weeks of summer vacation! The girls thought summer vaca would be pretty cool. They would sleep late, watch TV, play on the Wii, take a nap, watch a movie, eat junk food, etc. Mom and Grandma and Grandpa had other ideas. The first few days were pretty rocky for everyone, but the girls seem to have accepted that they still have to do chores and they can't sleep in. We have summer passes to Harkins Theater (10 movies for $7) and a whole list of other activities they plan to do.
I don't know how he did it, but Grandpa said they can't sleep in so they jump out of bed the minute I tell them Grandpa and Grandma are on their way. Do you think I could get Grandpa to stop by every day during the school year, too?
